Hey Jack, funny I actually started studying biomedical sciences but then the course got cancelled while I was on it fun times so I then switched to Chemistry and completed my masters in Medicinal Chemistry. One problem, I really did not enjoy working in a lab day in day out. I found it far too repetitive, boring and honestly I much prefer working with people. I guess, what I'm trying to say is don't worry about trying to figure it all out right now.

And if you then wanna try something else - do it. Remember many of these may be more releated to how we are likely to think about those jobs rather than if we would actually be good at those jobs.

I know personally one of the ones on the list chemists; I had my own feelings aganist doing because though I was good at it, the work seemed very boring and overly methodological compared to fields I enjoyed more such as Biology though even since I was a child, I desired to be a biologist or Psychology even though I knew knowledge for those would require knowledge from chemistry too.

Oh please I'm an enfp and a dentist. Yes I get bored out easily but dentistry isn't boring. In fact the learning period has more opportunity to express your artistic side than any other professional course available. Yes at times my non clinical work gets mundane, but that's not my regular job, when there's a challenging case and a well executed treatment and outcome, I feel very alive.

understand this question

It is never the same procedure. I did pg in periodontics which is a surgical department so i don't do regular cavity fillings. Prosthodontics and orthodontics are other departments that bring out ur cretative And analytical side. And I'm still looking to expand my horizons by attending workshops and doing fellowships.

agree, rather useful

I'm looking to do an implant course to make my work more diverse. I don't like working for someone and so I'm looking to set up my own clinic soon. What's more u get to meet a lot of new people everyday in your practise. Please go for it. I love my job. Also, nothing to look down upon regular cavity fillings. Every cavity is different, in size, shape and severity and requires different techniques and materials sometimes more than one the same teeth.

It's extremely technique sensitive and artistic in nature. I can forget the whole world and time just flies if I have some composite cement in hand. Trust me, dentistry is anything but boring.

with you

U need to work hard. U can do it only if u r passionate.

can discussed

And enfps are naturally passionate towards artistic and creative handwork and can turn out to be the best candidate for dentistry. I'd say a dentist would be so boring!

ENFP and ISFJ ENFPs and ISFJs share two cognitive functions - introverted sensing and extroverted intuition, but what is first in one's stacking is last in the other's and vice versa. As a result, it is can be difficult for these two to find common ground as one would always have to be using their inferior function in order for natural. Aug 04,   ENFP likes to be with people and may have loads of people around them. Don't despair if you're shy. If the ENFP notices you, they'll probably talk to you. Same ol' cavity to fill. Or just another root canal to perform. Can't really think outside the box. Methods are what they are. Not much creativity needed to work on teeth! Coming from someone who was a dental assistant for a SHORT time, I can say with confidence that dentistry is not good for us. It is as repetitive as it gets and I got burned out so quickly.

something also idea

I was only a dental assistant for about 6 months and it was the longest 6 months of my life. It felt like 2 years. I was also a dentist assistant and it was actually really interesting but at the same time I thought it would make much more fun being the dentist than the assistant cause that was really repetetive and got boring real quick.

In the end I had to quit that job after 3 month bc of health issues and psycological issues that came from the people that worked at that place and all in all it was just a really bad time for me but job as a dentist from what I saw first hand seemed really interesting and fun.

They can - I am. I like to think it's not so much about the career itself, rather how you approach it. Being an ENFP means you're very personable - I think that's a fantastic trait for a dentist to have especially one that works with children, as I do. I enjoy my job and the work I do, and what I do to help other people, and I enjoy connecting with others in that way.

Anyone who says that someone of a particular MBTI type can't have a particular career just plain doesn't know what they're talking about.

People within the same profession have different approaches to dealing with problems, people and situations - and all types of people can bring something to the table in any career they're passionate about. I been searching for programs to learn. Also steady income would be nice but also love a challenage.

I completely understand.

There was a running joke in my family that I was working up the alphabet in terms of careers. I started off in an Aeronuatics program, then went to beauty school, then studied criminal justice and became a cop, tried being an executive secretary good lord, that was the absolute WORST for our personality type, lol I love that.

you tell you

Im good at it. You probably are too. I travel somewhere different each week as well I meet lots of people all the time but at the end of the day, I retreat to the quiet of my hotel room so I can recharge. I need that.

So I hear you I know the feeling of wanting to try so many different things and at some point, annoyinglyyou have to settle on something!!! So think about a profession that dosent keep you cooped up in one place. But if it does, the people you deal with should change pretty consistently. Think about careers that value thinking outside of the box for solutions Something that allows you to be creative, and I dont necessarily mean artsy My resume may make me look so flighty but Im not.

Every job change was something that added to my skills and experiene and made me more marketable till I finally found this dream job that roped me in for the last 14 years.

I make a great salary too. And I think you should trust your intial instict and follow that. For instance Same for a nurse Again, endless opportunities. The hard part is at some point you need to pick something and go with it. Go with what can maybe also cross into other occupations altogether.

You also need to consider how much schooling you are willing to do.

If I hadnt become inpatient, I would have gone that route. Heck if you like criminology, major in forensic psychget your Phd and maybe you can become a profiler! How cool would THAT be? Anyway, at least I hope you feel understood. You're not flightly Im always reminded of a song that says "after all it was a great big world, with lots of places to run to! I get you. We get you. Maybe what you have to come to terms with is that whatever you decide on in school you will HAVE to find a way to get thru the monotony of some classes or chapters or things that require detail.

Those are the things that can frustrate you and think forget itthis is NOT what I want to do!! Figure out what one profession offers the most diverse opportunity and also feeds your passion amd see the program to the end. You can do this. I wish I could catch up with you in a few years and hear where your journey eventually led you. Good luck! Farina - that was one of the best comments I have read in years of reading online.

Its simple but bursting with understanding and energy. From one explosion of cerebral ectasy to the next that dragged me through the pits of depression hell.

I've had jobs that have left me so exhausted I couldn't speak properly when it was complete because I had exhausted myself and loved every minute. Another job I gave so much I had a mild stroke, but I wouldn't swap the experience for the world teaching students English in the ME.

The job that gave me the biggest buzz was in the British military. I was trained and worked in Special Ops. It was the best - but once I'd passed all the hard parts I jacked it in and went looking for the next challenge. Put simply I couldn't keep a job for more than a couple of years. A tell tale sign would be when I would find myself looking out the window of an office or some such when I should have been working.

I suppose when a final conclusion is reached I'm a variety addict and there ain't no cure. FYI I bunked off most of my last year in school. Because it had become so excruciatingly boring. Have a great day. I can agree with most of the results except I didn't see anything about being physically active and the enjoyment of being out in nature. I love art and can appreciate it but if my life depended on drawing a stick man i would not be long for this world.

This fits me perfectly except Im Inteoverted extroverted, so basicly im shy but i love to socialise with close friends. I also wonder how i work differently than normal enfps plus, im an aquarius. My son has autism. Interesting that you are an ENFP! When they describe the ENFP this way they are thinking about the unhealthy versions of the type.

ENFPs want to be someone who can listen to their partner, but they need this in return. For them it is important to have someone who will hear them out when they are upset, and just be there to show that they care without constantly trying to fix them or their problems.

ENFPs take romantic relationships seriously, and just want a partner who is willing to stand by their side and be there for them. ENFPs do need attention and affection from their partner, but not much else. They are much more independent than people realize when it comes to tending to their own needs. They just want someone who is willing to show they care and to accept them for who they are, without wanting to change or fix them in anyway. ENFPs can often fall in love hard and fast, once they find someone who can spark their soul in a unique and passionate manner.

ENFPs might participate in casual dating when they are younger, since they do sometimes get sucked into doing what others expect from them. They are also curious people who might take a while to figure out what they truly want from a relationship. The ISFJ prefers introversion to extraversion.

A sensor and an intuitive will face some challenges in conversation. The Sensor lives in the concrete world of facts and senses, while the intuitive tends to wonder more about possibilities and what is not immediately recognizable. While these two types may struggle, they may also balance each other out by being able to get things done and also foresee future issues.

The ISFJ remembers facts, places, and uses past events to predict future outcomes.

seems excellent
